Copa Meiga
Bamboo Business was an Event Partner at the first edition of Copa Meiga, a women’s futbol tournament in Pontevedra (Galicia, Spain), with the aim of promoting and developing a culture of women’s football from a very early age at a safe environment in the region, welcoming the future stars of tomorrow’s game.
Copa Meiga hosted 50 clubs and players from 7 categories ranging from the age of 5 years old to 16, including grassroots teams from Portugal and Spain.
The tournament was held at natural and artificial turf facilities, where more than 500 girls were able to enjoy a unique experience

It took place during one of the most especial weekends of the year: Midsummer or St. John’s Eve, the summer solstice at the Northern hemisphere. The Xunta de Galicia, Deputación de Pontevedra, Concello de Mondariz, Concello de Mos, Real Federación Galega de Fútbol and other institutions who believe in the power of women’s football supported the tournament too.
